church renovation and refurbishment company
Grace Church is a Bible centred worshipping organisation based in the Yate region of Bristol, UK. The need for the existing building to be extended lead to Leading Edge Carpentry [an established Loft Conversion, Building Construction & Home Extension Bristol & Bath company] winning the contract to perform the commercial carpentry and building renovation work.
In addition to extending the existing building there was the additional need to build out a brand new congregational area that could be used for meetings and worshipping providing extra facilities for the members and anyone wishing to visit.
The depth of project management expertise that we at Leading Edge Carpentry possess in the building, construction and field meant that we were fully involved with the church refurbishment that was from the initial steelworks stage right through to the completion phase which culminated in putting up the various noticeboards that were required.
Out Bristol Bath based building and construction company went through all of the required steps that are needed in order to construct the flat roof, in addition to this we made the upstand that was required for the cedar panelled façade’.
As a key component of the church renovation project, our depth of building and construction skills lead us on to building out the roof that was needed for the entrance porch.
In terms of commercial carpentry and our reputation as a timber cladding solution company we went on to providing and installing the cladding for the exterior of the Grace Church Yate building. This part of the church refurbishment solution was completed with cedar boarding which we supplied and fitted – we used ‘Trespa’ panels for the low-level cladding.
In terms of working on the internal of the church we supplied and fitted the ash frame that was needed for the glass entrance as well as organising the ash door, skirting and architraves including all of the fittings.
The staging area of the church actually accommodates an adult sized baptism pool which is in fact hidden underneath the decking; in terms of the entrance lobby – we supplied and fitted the cladding and this was carried out with cedar boarding and to finish of this part of the project we decorated everything with sunken lighting.
In summary we were extremely pleased to have been invited to work on this particular church building and construction project; all in all are happy to have assisted in creating a wonderful extension to a very modern church.
